We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Penny Black Cottage, the entire place is super cosy and the location is perfect. The beds are really comfy, the rooms are spacious, the shower is lovely and the whole place is well equipped with everything you need. Everywhere in Lavenham is dog friendly which was great for our pups. Jo is really friendly and helpful, can’t recommend this cottage enough!

We stayed 4 nights at Jo's place over the jubilee weekend (4 adults, 1 baby and 2 dogs) and had a great time.
The photos don't actually do it justice, the house is beautiful. Extremely well stocked, everything you could think of is provided, particularly if you are staying with children. We were a bit worried about the on street parking, but this wasn't actually a problem.
Large dog owners beware, the garden wall is very low! Lavenham is absolutely stunning, we will be back!
We had a brilliant stay at Penny Black Cottage - thank you so much Jo, Ben and Penny! Such a beautiful and well appointed house with everything you need. The house is really well situated for lovely walks. Georgina (7) loved the playing field down the end of the road and it was so nice to be able to sit outside on the patio with a coffee in the sunshine. Recommend the Angel for a roast dinner. We will definitely be back!

We had the most amazing stay at Ben and Jo's house. The house is beautifully decorated and everything you need for a short or long stay. Cleanliness to the highest standard. We will definitely be visiting again and recommend it.
What a beautiful, cosy place to stay! We thoroughly enjoyed our time staying in this spacious and gorgeously styled property. We absolutely loved our time in Lavenham and there was so much to do and see in the local area - so much so that we have booked for a return visit in the summer. What a gem!!

Penny Black cottage is a very comfortable, practical holiday cottage beautifully and thoughtfully finished.
We enjoyed the cottage with our family and our dog, exploring the disused railway walk and a good pub lunch at The Angel. We also took a trip to Bury St Edmunds & Colchester, both within approximately 30 minutes drive.
We look forward to visiting again.
Spent a lovely pre Christmas weekend with friends at Penny Black Cottage. The cottage is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Enjoyed exploring Lavenham and Bury St Edmunds and had a great meal at The Greyhound.
